Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan (Season 6) is all set to go on-air on October 21. Ever since the makers dropped the first promo of the show, fans are curious to know about the jodis who will make it to the couch. Now, here it is! The filmmaker has announced that Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt are going to be his first guests on the show. Karan took to Instagram stories to reveal the news and wrote, “The first cup of KOFFEE @deepikapdukone and @aliaabhatt.” A source associated with the show told Mumbai Mirror, “The episode will be shot next week and will see the actresses discuss girl power, the changing role of women in films today and their real-life friendship, among other things.”

Yesterday, a picture of the two ladies along with Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Karan Johar, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan took social media by storm. The group had gathered together for Ranbir’s pre-birthday celebrations. Meanwhile, apart from Deepika-Alia, brother-sister duo, Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor are also going to make an appearance together. A source close to Karan had told Mirror, “It’s going to be a special episode as it marks their first joint appearance, in which they open up about their relationship.” We all know how the actor has stood by Boney Kapoor, Janhvi and Khushi ever since Sridevi’s demise.
Coming back to the first guests of Koffee With Karan 6, this is the first time that Deepika-Alia will be seen on the show together and considering their ‘common factor’ (read: Ranbir Kapoor) it will be interesting to see how things pan out. Will we also see the ladies talk about a certain Ms Kaif?
